Strollers Group

The Strollers Group meets every third Wednesday of the month. These walks are for people who prefer or can only manage 2 1/2 to 4 miles, taken at a leisurely pace. We try to visit a place of interest en route and usually manage to find a tea shop. Places have included Valley Gardens at Harrogate, Roundhay Park, Ripley, and Saltaire/Shipley Glen. We are planning some canal and riverside walks etc and anyone is welcome to join us, including those who normally walk further. Our enjoyment is from the surroundings and the company.

Lister Park, Bradford, 1 ½ miles

Walk around Lister Park in its winter appearance, optional visit to Cartwright Hall Gallery at end – entrance free. Bring lunch, drink and something to sit on.

Please meet at the train station to catch 10.25 to Bradford (cost £2.10 return) – meet at Boots. Then bus from Bradford Interchange to Park.

This walk is being led by Barbara and Margret.

The Bluebell Challenge, 25 May 2011

The challenge was to find any bluebells in Middleton Woods (they had almost all finished flowering).
